Week 4, Question #2.
Obama, the current president of the United States of America, is a very well-known speaker considering he is the president of the U.S. I believe, which could be different from others beliefs, that his strength in characteristics as a speaker comes from his power and his credibility. Being that he runs our country and makes decisions that affect people all over this world, people are going to listen to him speak. It is his power that makes everyone tune in and want to know what he has to say. The fact that he is in charge of our country gives him enough credibility to persuade people. A president’s credibility and promise’s is what persuades people to vote for him/her to be our president, to run our country. I believe he builds enough ethos in these areas because we use our emotion, as well as our logic to vote for the different propositions. At one point or another, enough people believed in him and his power or power to be and voted him to be our president.
