Week 9 Question 2

I would say that I do believe in the main concepts of the rationality, perfectability and mutability premises. I believe that most people are "capable of discovering the truth through logical analysis"; I think we are very capable of finding the truth, although I do think there is almost always more to the truth and finding the complete truth is not always an easy task. As for the perfectibility premise: I believe in God, and I believe that we are born with sin, and in being baptised we are allowing God to take away the sin we are born with to rid us of the evil that we enter into the world with. I also believe that the human behavior is shaped by our environment, when we change our environment, change our surroundings we change our ways. Our behavior changes when we change our surroundings. Religion is a major practice that falls within the beliefs of these premises, especially the perfectibility premise.
